The coronavirus pandemic has sparked some remarkable innovations including a collaborative partnership at Columbia College Chicago between the university’s American Sign Language Department with its Fashion Studies Department.

The hybrid course “Workshop in Fashion Studies: The Accessible Mask Project” will guide students at Columbia in developing a prototype of a transparent face mask over five weeks in July and August.

Columbia College is a private college specializing in arts and media disciplines. You can find more information on the university news website Columbia Chronicle.
