Now imagine not knowing where to turn for the solutions that could help you.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Hearing Speech + Deaf Center is the only nonprofit organization in the Greater Cincinnati region to provide world-class services for deafness, communication and sensory disorders, regardless of patients\u2019 ability to pay. We\u2019d like to share a few of these success stories:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-1 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:7.5em\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"151\" height=\"151\" src=\"https:\/\/hearingspeechdeaf.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/endow-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4677\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:100%\">\n<p>We supported the communication needs of Maya*, a hard-of-hearing senior. Hearing aids changed her life. A new staff member described Maya\u2019s reaction to her new hearing aids: \u201cHer eyes lit up. She whispered, \u2018I can hear.\u2019 Tears were in her eyes. And mine.\u201d Our staff witnesses miracles like this every day.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-2 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:7.5em\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"151\" height=\"151\" src=\"https:\/\/hearingspeechdeaf.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/endow-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4679\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:100%\">\n<p>Barbara is a member of the Deaf Community, and COVID-19 interrupted Barbara\u2019s progress through our Deaf Community Employment Services program. But she persevered, graduated, and moved from two part-time fast food jobs to full-time employment with a living wage. She\u2019s been working since 2021, with merit increases along the way.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-3 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:7.5em\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"151\" height=\"151\" src=\"https:\/\/hearingspeechdeaf.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/endow-3.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4680\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:100%\">\n<p>We supported Aliyah\u2019s communication needs. She came to us at age two saying just five words. Her frustration with her inability to communicate led to tantrums and other extreme behaviors. After a few years of speech-language therapy, Aliyah&#8217;s communication, behaviors and vocabulary became age-appropriate.
