Michael Romero, Au.D.
Au.D.
Clinical Audiologist
Dr. Michael Romero was born and raised in El Paso, Texas. He was inspired to help others by both his mom, Yvonne, a speech-language pathologist, and his dad, Juan, an educator.
Michael enjoys listening to music, playing the drums, hiking, camping and generally keeping active. A fun fact about Michael is that he used to DJ weddings during his undergraduate and doctoral studies. Michael still enjoys DJing and hopes to start providing music for events again soon.
Michael earned his Doctor of Audiology from the University of Texas at Dallas and completed his clinical externship at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. Michael’s career began in Cincinnati at the Hearing Speech and Deaf Center, where he developed a strong foundation in patient-centered hearing care. He later returned to his alma mater, serving as a clinician and preceptor to audiology doctoral students.
Michael eventually returned to Cincinnati, a city he’s proud to call home, and joined The Christ Hospital, where he provided audiologic care for adults in an ENT/Otolaryngology setting. During his time there, he focused on helping individuals reconnect with the sounds that bring meaning and joy to their everyday lives.
