Tahnya McCloud is a proud Cincinnati native with a heart for service and a passion for communication. She holds an Associate of Arts Degree with a Social Work focus, as well as an Associate of Applied Science Degree in American Sign Language Technology from Cincinnati State College. Tahnya’s professional background is both diverse and impactful. She is a former Correctional Officer who has also worked in the field of education, allowing her to connect with and support individuals from all walks of life. Her career reflects a deep commitment to service, equity, and personal growth.
Currently serving as both an Interpreter Coordinator and Staff Interpreter, Tahnya brings leadership, professionalism, and cultural sensitivity to her work within the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community. Her roles allow her to facilitate access, coordinate interpreting services, and ensure high-quality language support across diverse community settings. As an aspiring certified American Sign Language Interpreter, Tahnya is involved in the Deaf Community and actively serves in the Sign Language Ministry at her church. She is committed to continuing her education and developing her skills to support equitable communication access across various settings.
Outside of her professional and volunteer efforts, Tahnya enjoys spending quality time with her daughter, family, and friends. Her life is grounded in compassion, connection, and a desire to make a lasting, positive impact.
