The Hearing Speech + Deaf Center of Greater Cincinnati proudly announces the retirement of esteemed audiologist Dr. Kerry Havens, who has served individuals and families across our communities since 2005. As one of our longest-serving clinicians, Kerry’s impact has reached thousands of lives, and her dedication will leave a lasting legacy within our organization and beyond.
Dr. Havens began her journey in audiology with undergraduate and graduate degrees in Communication Sciences from The Ohio State University, followed by earning her Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) from the Arizona School of Health Sciences. Her educational excellence translated seamlessly into compassionate, high-quality care throughout her two decades with the Hearing Speech + Deaf Center.
Over the years, Kerry has provided audiology services at all three of our locations—Clifton, Eastgate and West Chester—making her a familiar and trusted face to families throughout the region. Her expertise, empathy and dedication to patient-centered care reflect the mission of the Hearing Speech + Deaf Center: to empower individuals and families with effective communication tools and opportunities through advocacy, excellence and inclusion—regardless of their ability to pay.
In addition to her clinical excellence, Dr. Havens has been a champion for accessible care. She has helped further our commitment to accepting most insurance carriers, including Ohio Medicaid, ensuring that hearing health is never out of reach for those who need it most.
The Hearing Speech + Deaf Center is deeply grateful for Kerry’s outstanding contributions over the past 20 years. She has been more than a clinician—she has been a mentor and an advocate for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing communities. Her presence will be greatly missed, but her influence will be felt for years to come. The Center’s COO, Sally Quilligan, made the following comment:
