On May 16, 2024, a crowd of more than 200 communication patrons gathered at Cincinnati’s Bell Event for the 2024 HSDC Service Award Gala, presented by altafiber. The evening celebrated the importance of communication in fostering connections and growth.
Dr. Roy M. Kulick, a distinguished pediatric emergency physician, received this year’s Service Award for his outstanding contributions to communication equity, access, and inclusion. His gifts of time, talent, treasure and testimony have been making a difference for decades. Additionally, 13-year old Isaiah Williams received the event’s 2024 Shining Star Award for his personal efforts in removing communication obstacles.
CEO JB Boothe presided over the evening’s fundraising festivities to bring the night to a remarkable close with nearly $130,000 in revenue. That result came from the generous gifts of our passionate supporters, who understand that communication is at the core of how we connect, grow and thrive.
