It’s an annual tradition. Over a weekend in October volunteers from local non-profit organizations and technical professionals get together at Miami University’s Voice of America Campus to take on projects big and small with one goal – improving communication through the enhancement of software services (that’s website and mobile apps for those of us non-techies). This partnership, known as Southwest Ohio GiveCamp, is one of several programs like it around the country. The software services are completely free and save participating non-profits thousands of dollars in project costs each year.
The Hearing Speech and Deaf Center (HSDC) applied to Southwest Ohio GiveCamp and was selected for a website redesign project. The refreshed website aims to provide online visitors like you with quick and clear access to the information you need from the HSDC.
In this blog section and on every page of our site you are looking at the final product of many hours of collaboration between a team of developers, graphic designers, and the HSDC Development Department led by Susan Cleverly and Megan Elicker.
